Supporting St Mary's
St Mary’s Church is able to continue thanks to the help of those who give their time or money to support us. It costs over £1000 a day for daily running of the church (and that excludes major repairs). 51% of this goes to the Diocese to support clergy stipends, housing and training in Southwark. Without this help parishes in poorer areas would not be able to support a priest. Some of our income (19%) comes from hall lettings, and 48% from planned giving by members of the parish. Gift aid increases the value of donations by 25% at no cost to the giver.
